For Every Occasion

Psst... have you heard?  The new SS11 collection from Miss L Fire will be out very very soon!

I am a huge fan of Miss L Fire shoes and handbags, I have two pairs myself.  It's perfect with any vintage inspired outfit and you never fail to feel pretty skipping along with a pair on your tootsies.  Exactly what every girl wants!  The lady behind the designs?  It's Miss Lynsey Hand, who lovingly created the label over six years ago.  Lynsey likes to take inspirations from the past and making them wearable for the modern vintage girl on the go.  You will always find bright eye catching colours in every collection to tempt you just a little :)

I've been having a sneak peek at the new collection and have fallen in love with more pairs than my shoe cupboard can cope with this summer.  Oh No!

Bamboo in Red/White and Navy/White
I love saddle shoes!
Kauai in Pastels
Tahiti in Black
Polynesia in Black
Waikiki in Yellow and Black
Day Tripper in Black/White and Red/White
Tiki in Beige
Maui in Beige and Blue
What do think?  Are you in love too?!
Make sure to check out their lovely Blog and Facebook page for the latest news and special offers.  I got myself a lovely bargain a couple of months back.

Be good to your feet. xx

Ps. I would just like to say a thank you to Sammi at Miss L Fire as she has been lovely to correspond with.

Pss. Cannot wait for their Lucite Handbags collection either!

The Severed Limb in The Sizzle Suite at Winterwell 2009

Just skiffling along...

I have some exciting news...  My sister and her boyfriend are going to be wed early next year!  She has been researching none stop to get everything she wants ready and I have to look for a dress.  More of that another time.

One of the things she wants is a band or singer so I was just having a little look through my favourites of the underground scene.  This is who I suggested as they are fabulous and she wanted something different.
Their music is right up my street and I got a tape from them a few years back.  You can find them playing in and around London at the usual rock 'n' roll joints.  In fact they're playing Gaz's Rockin Blues on 24th Feb if you get a chance to pop along.  They are so much fun to watch and it doesn't hurt that there's some cuties in the band too!

The best thing is they have a 10" vinyl out at the moment available to buy from Lost John's for £10.  For those of you who do not have a record player you can also download it from Amazon or iTunes so you won't miss out.
With an album coming soon...
One thing always leads to another and I had a browse through Lost John's site too and found some pretty cool things like...

Their radio show, Florida Water Cologne, Combs, Grooming products, Pomades, Tees and Music of course!

I can't wait for their full length album.
I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do! xx

Aloha!

I do love a bit of Tiki.  Whether it's the pattern on a dress, the decor or the theme of a party.  The idea of having a tiki themed party for the summer sounds too delicious!  My friend is having her birthday at a tiki bar called Kontiki in Göteborg.
I was having a little nose around their website and it looks so cute.  I can't wait to visit and see for myself.  Here's a sneak peek...
Once I start looking at something I tend to obsess and just keep going.  That's the problem with the internet sometimes.  It encourages obsessions!  Although this time it has not been wasted.  I have uncovered the perfect people to help you organise a Tiki party of all tiki parties!  May I introduce to you... Cheeky Tiki.  As stated on their website - The place where all dreams of creating your own tropical Tiki paradise can be accomplished !  That is quite a statement, but once you start looking at what they can offer you will not disagree :)
Here are some of my favourite things for sale on their site to make your perfect party.

Number one on the shopping list - A Bamboo Bar of course! £550
Some decor - Portable Ships Lamp £14.95, Red Mouth Tiki £45, Fish Float £9.95
Good Time Girl Mug £12.50, Tangaroa Mug £12, Coconut Vessel £5.50
Coconut Bra £3, Baby Lobster £4.50

Shell Bowl £35, Pupu Platter £50, Aloha Sign £30
The party sure is coming along now!  But wait I hear you shout... I don't have space to keep a tiki bar all year round.  Fear not, as Cheeky Tiki also do hiring and events.
And if it really is all just too much organising, you could always just doll up and dance the night away at one of these Tiki hotspots!

I wish you all a Happy Aloha-ing everyone! x
